BCF's MISSION STATEMENT

"THE LIGHTHOUSE"

Bethel Christian Fellowship exists to worship the "Light" (John 8:12),

To let the "Light" shine so that the lost may be won (Matthew 5:14),

And train the believer to walk in the "Light" (1 John 1:7).

John 8:12 -- "When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, "I Am the light of the world.  Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

 Matthew 5:14 -- "You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill; cannot be hidden."

 1 John 1:7 -- "But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."

For Bethel Christian Fellowship to be an effective church for the kingdom of God,
we must be a church of :

 The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

 A True Worshipping Church (John 4:23-24)

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

 And a Church of Prayer (Matthew 21:1; 1 Thess 5:16-18; Mark 9:23-24)

 "It is written," he said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer."

 "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

 "A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will Grow a Great Church."

 PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and their life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name.
